Ms Sylvester
Your Year Y2 class teacher is Miss Sylvester.
Y2 have lots of very exciting learning opportunities planned throughout the year and we are delighted to welcome Y2 back to The Beacon after half term.
Here you will be able to read and find out about all of the different things that we get up to in Year 2.
PE
Y2S' PE day is Monday. Your child can come to school dressed in their Beacon PE kit on a Monday for PE to make undressing and dressing easier for them. We will be doing dance with our wonderful dance coach.
Your child will need their own labelled water bottle in school each day as well.
Clubs
This term Y2 have Dance club on Monday 3:20 - 4:20 and Basketball on Thursday 3:20 - 4:20.
Homework
Homework will be sent home in books each Friday. Spellings can be accessed on EdShed and will be sent home each week. You can find assignments on MyMaths and each child has a login for Timestables Rockstars.
Homework in books needs to be completed by the following Tuesday. Children who bring homework in on time will recieve a homework dojo.
Reading
Reading is a very important aspect of learning not just in Year 2, but right throughout the children's school journey. We actively encourage you to read every night with your child. In order for your child to gain reading rewards you need to read with them 5/7 nights and sign and date their reading record.
