This week in nursery 3-4, we have been celebrating Eid and learning all about this special festival and the Islamic faith. The children have enjoyed exploring different cultures and traditions through a range of fun and meaningful activities.
We loved wearing our party and cultural clothes, dancing together outside and tasting delicious Eid foods. The children also got creative by making Eid cards, creating beautiful crescent moon crafts and taking part in mark making through henna hand designs.
We also explored some special religious items, including looking at a prayer mat, prayer beads and learning about the differences between a church and a mosque. The children were very curious and asked lots of thoughtful questions.
It has been wonderful to see the children so engaged, curious and respectful as they learn about Eid. Experiences like this support a celebration of others in our community and help to build their understanding of the world around them ☪️
