Welcome to the Beacon Church of England Primary School
Learning Together, Following Jesus
Welcome to the website for The Beacon Church of England Primary School in Liverpool.
Our school is currently closed except for 2-3 room, Nursery, vulnerable children and children of critical workers. Children in R to Y6 who are remaining at home can access our full remote learning curriculum using Microsoft Teams, Seesaw (Y1 - Y6) and Tapestry for Reception, Nursery and 2-3 room. Children take part in lessons online. Please see our remote learning pages for more specific detail.
In order to keep school open for our critical workers, please remember we have asked all our families to wear face coverings (unless exempt) whilst they are collecting and dropping off their child. All our staff are wearing face masks on the gates too as well as in our school building when they are not instructing a larger group of pupils.
Our Breakfast club continues to remain open from 7.30am for those who really need it (those who need to be in work) - please book this if you need this provision via SchoolMoney. Our after school provision is open for all critical worker families currently upto 5pm.
We do continue to have annual school improvement priorities that we are focussing on as a whole school for 2020 - 21. Our whole school priorities are:
- To ensure our ‘inspire’ curriculum supports children’s mental health and well-being.
- To further improve the teaching and learning of reading and writing to raise standards for all.
- To develop leadership at all levels (including pupil leaders) to impact positively on our ‘Inspire’ curriculum.
If you would like to enquire about a place for a child at our school, please get in touch via our contact page. We are still admitting new pupils on site for our 2-3 room and Nursery.
Best wishes
