At The Beacon we believe that all children are entitled to an education which meets their individual needs where inclusivity underpins our practices. The SENCo's role at The Beacon is to monitor the implementation and impact of the quality of education for pupils with SEND.
Our INSPIRE curriculum focuses on quality first teaching and a curriculum which is differentiated to meet the individual needs of all children and ensure all pupils can make progress. Our vision for SEND is person centred ensuring that the views and needs of the child and their family are at it’s heart.
On 1st September 2014, a revised Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice was introduced. The reforms aim to implement a new approach which seeks to join up help across education, health and care, from birth to 25.
