World Book Day

World Book Day is being celebrated today.  Reading is something that we really value at The Beacon and we understand the importance of children getting enjoyment from their reading.

In school, we will be dressing up as our favourite well-known book characters. Please make sure children do come as storybook characters or as their favourite author - NOT footballers! The aim is to get children thinking about the books they read and enjoy. If they do not wish to dress up, they can bring in a prop from their favourite book.
